Minimal Design was engaged to create high-end photo-realistic 3D visuals and animations

for Shannon Farm, the newest lifestyle subdivision in Central Otago Lakes, New Zealand.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Pisa Range, Shannon Farm offers a unique blend

of seclusion and convenience, with lifestyle blocks located just minutes from Lake Dunstan.


Client Objective

The primary goal for Shannon Farm was to attract potential buyers by showcasing the

natural beauty, expansive landscapes, and luxurious rural living opportunities offered by the

subdivision. The marketing needed to highlight the proximity to world-class amenities and

the appeal of the surrounding environment, including vineyards, cherry orchards, and

outdoor recreational activities.


The Role of Minimal Design

Minimal Design was tasked with developing photo-realistic 3D visuals and animations that

would serve as the cornerstone of Shannon Farm's marketing campaign. The focus was on

bringing the project to life through immersive visuals that could evoke the serenity and

beauty of the location, helping potential buyers to fully appreciate the lifestyle on offer.


Execution and Creative Process

  1. Research and Conceptualization: The project began with an in-depth study of the

    Shannon Farm site, including its natural surroundings and planned infrastructure.

    Minimal Design's team worked closely with the developers to understand the vision

    for the subdivision, ensuring that the visuals would align with the desired aesthetic

    and market positioning.

  2. 3D Visualization and Animation: Utilising advanced 3D modelling and rendering

    techniques, Minimal Design created a series of high-quality visuals and animations.

    These materials captured the expansive landscapes, the beauty of the Pisa Range,

    the vineyards, cherry orchards, and the proximity to Lake Dunstan. The animations

    provided virtual tours of the lifestyle blocks, allowing potential buyers to experience

    the location as if they were physically present.

  3. Enhanced Marketing Tools: Thanks to the complex 3D models developed for

    Shannon Farm, Minimal Design can easily provide additional marketing tools to

    further engage potential buyers. These include:

    1. 360° Virtual Tours: Offering a fully immersive experience, potential buyers

      can explore the subdivision from every angle, as if they were walking through

      it in person.

    2. Interactive 3D Showcases: Buyers can interact with the 3D models,

      customising their view and gaining a deeper understanding of the site layout

      and features.

    3. Photomatched Photos: By combining real-world photography with 3D

      models, Minimal Design created images that seamlessly blend the existing

      environment with the planned development.

    4. Before and After Comparisons: Visualisations showing the transformation

      of the land before and after development, helping buyers appreciate the value added by the project

    Shannon Farm website, social media campaigns, and online media. These materials

    emphasised the tranquillity and luxury of rural living in Central Otago Lakes, while

    also highlighting the convenience of being close to attractions such as biking trails,

    ski fields, and nearby townships like Wanaka, Queenstown, and Clyde.

The sophisticated marketing materials produced by Minimal Design played a pivotal role in

driving interest and sales for Shannon Farm. The photo-realistic visuals and animations
